FROM ME: After falling in love with barre classes and eventually training to teach them, I got my first experience in group teaching in those pumping environments and still love everything about them: creating wicked playlists (think Taylor Swift and Beyonce), crafting clever combinations of exercises that will sculpt, tone, challenge your balance and improve your strength, all in a non-judgmental, inclusive and fun atmosphere where all classes cater for beginners through to seasoned participants. Now, of course, I’ve added pilates and yin and vinyasa yoga to the mix: learning more about the body, teaching, and how movement can build and create community is a lifelong process.
